A personality quiz based on actual theory

I’m a bit of a personality test nerd. I’m not talking about Facebook quizzes, I’m talking about the ever so interesting Myers-Briggs personality types.

Finding your 4 letters can tell you a lot about how you learn, what preferences you have, what careers you might love doing, and what makes you uniquely you.

This website is a good place to start. When you find out your type, you can search for all kinds of information about yourself. I’ve even found a podcast for one of the personalities called The INFJ Podcast. If you’re an INFJ, I highly recommend it.

It’s really interesting to learn about introversion. Introverts are commonly thought of as people who are shy, but that’s really not true! Introverts tend to think things through thoroughly in their mind to problem solve and are very careful about their words, while extroverts prefer to talk things out. I think I’m a little bit of both, but I score higher on introversion. There are strengths and weaknesses in both personalities.

Learning that I’m an INFJ has provided me with a lot of insight into my personality strengths, and it has helped me realize what I need to work on. It has explained 2 big parts of my personality which include 1) my need to do something meaningful in my career path and 2) my need to be creative. This really comes out in two of my current projects: this blog and my volunteer program, Color Give Smile.
