Artist statement

My work is about play, not precision, and it’s created to make people smile. I didn’t think that was very deep, but now I realize it’s important to find for that silliness inside each of us. My subjects are often women, food, or cats. What are they really? They are secret nods to my interests in art, comics, nature and old movies. Each line or color choice is inspired by something that made me smile too. I hope that’s what my art does for you.
