Art projects you can do after work
Welcome to another project for Pencil it in! Each project is super easy to do, even if you’re tired after work. The point of this series is to play with art for a few minutes a day, even if you’re tired or annoyed.
This week is miniature landscapes!

Project: Miniature Landscapes
Time: 25 minutes
Supplies: Mixed media or watercolor paper, watercolors, pens, markers, and an aquabrush.
Instructions:
Use your watercolors to lightly create several squares on your page. Paint them as gradients in a pale blue or pretty sunset color. Let it dry slightly.
Take your pens and sketch out a landscape. Maybe there are lots of flowers? A lake? A house? Which feels the most enjoyable?
Choose 2-3 marker colors and fill in your sketches with markers for a nice contrast. The colors you choose should look good together and be a variation of light and bright colors.
The beauty of these is in trying new colors and creativity. Maybe you base some elements on places you enjoy. Maybe you’ve made something new. It’s up to your imagination!
