Art projects you can do after work
Welcome to another Pencil it in! Each project is super easy to do, even if you’re tired after work. The point of this series is to play with art for a few minutes a day, even if you’re tired or annoyed.
Of course you know you can draw nature, but did you know there’s a name and community for people who do that? It’s called nature journaling!
Nature Walk Doodle

Time: 30 minutes (including walk time)
Supplies: Paper, pen or pencil.
Instructions:
Take a walk outside or even look out a window. Find something in nature that catches your eye. This could be a bird, flower, clouds, anything!
Take a moment to notice its shape, texture, and how light hits it.
What does it remind you of? What questions come to mind?
Quickly doodle what you saw. This doesn’t need to be perfect!
Add notes describing why you noticed this and chose to draw it.
Again, this practice is called nature journaling and it’s about recording what you see in nature. If you’re interested, there are many books, communities, and teachers on the topic!
