Art projects you can do after work
Welcome to Pencil it in! Each project is super easy to do, even if you’re tired after work. The point of this series is to play with art for a few minutes a day, even if you’re tired or annoyed.
This exercise is a great way to appreciate animals and doodle them in a meditative way. Maybe you’ll even make a gift for a friend!
Animal Lettering
Time: 20 minutes
Supplies: Paper, pencil, black pen, colored markers or pencils

Instructions:
Make the shape of an outline of your pet or a friend’s pet in pencil. You can also choose a zoo animal you like a lot if you don’t know any pets. Draw on your pencil lines in ink and make the shape bold.
In this shape, write adjectives that describe this animal’s personality or qualities to fill the space. Draw on your pencil lines in ink, but with a thinner line.
Add a solid color to the animal.
This can make a great gift or even help you appreciate animals. A variation of this might be a cool project to pick up with kids who are learning about nature. It’s as easy as choosing an outline and filling it with words that fit your goal.
