Intro to a new series!
I’ve always been an artist, but didn’t feel like thinking after work, so I didn’t bother making any art for a while. Workdays were filled with meetings, writing, and answering questions. I had no space for coming up with ideas.
When you’ve been thinking all day or on calls, you want to relax. It feels like a lot of work to make art, like another thing you have to try to be good at.

Inspiration is a lot like working out. I had to get started so I could do more of it. I knew I had to make something with my hands too. Inspired by some vintage books, I started painting. The more I painted, the more I painted.
After a layoff and starting a business, I began reading more and making more art. Drawing or painting for 10-30 minutes made me feel more relaxed.
Pencil it in! isn’t about becoming a professional artist. It’s about finding 10-20 minutes to make something with your hands. It’s about tiny art projects to relax and express yourself. That’s who I made these projects for. We’re not making masterpieces, we’re helping you find your path to making this a regular thing.
Why Tiny Art?
The biggest reason not to make art regularly isn’t natural talent, it’s energy to make it often.
Each project:
Takes 15-30 minutes
Requires minimal supplies
Needs no special skills or talent
Can be enjoyed everywhere
Has no “wrong” way to complete it
